Al Baqarah 201 - 210
Al Baqarah (Cow Girl)
201
ﻭَﻣِﻨْﻬُﻢْ ﻣَّﻦْ ﻳَّﻘُﻮْﻝُ ﺭَﺑَّﻨَﺎٓ ﺍٰﺗِﻨَﺎ ﻓِﻰ ﺍﻟﺪُّﻧْﻴَﺎ
ﺣَﺴَﻨَﺔً ﻭَّﻓِﻰ ﺍﻟْﺎٰﺧِﺮَﺓِ ﺣَﺴَﻨَﺔً ﻭَّﻗِﻨَﺎ ﻋَﺬَﺍﺏَ
ﺍﻟﻨَّﺎﺭِ
wa min-hum may yaqụlu rabbanā ātinā fid-
dun-yā ḥasanataw wa fil-ākhirati ḥasanataw
wa qinā 'ażāban-nār
And among them are those who pray, "Our Lord,
give us good in this world and good in the
hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of
hell."
202
ﺍُﻭﻟٰۤﻯِٕﻚَ ﻟَﻬُﻢْ ﻧَﺼِﻴْﺐٌ ﻣِّﻤَّﺎ ﻛَﺴَﺒُﻮْﺍ ۗ ﻭَﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ
ﺳَﺮِﻳْﻊُ ﺍﻟْﺤِﺴَﺎﺏِ
ulā`ika lahum naṣībum mimmā kasabụ,
wallāhu sarī'ul-ḥisāb
They are the ones who get a share of what they
have done, and Allah is swift in reckoning.
203
۞ ﻭَﺍﺫْﻛُﺮُﻭﺍ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪَ ﻓِﻲْٓ ﺍَﻳَّﺎﻡٍ ﻣَّﻌْﺪُﻭْﺩٰﺕٍ ۗ ﻓَﻤَﻦْ
ﺗَﻌَﺠَّﻞَ ﻓِﻲْ ﻳَﻮْﻣَﻴْﻦِ ﻓَﻠَﺎٓ ﺍِﺛْﻢَ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻪِ ۚﻭَﻣَﻦْ ﺗَﺎَﺧَّﺮَ
ﻓَﻠَﺎٓ ﺍِﺛْﻢَ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻪِۙ ﻟِﻤَﻦِ ﺍﺗَّﻘٰﻰۗ ﻭَﺍﺗَّﻘُﻮﺍ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪَ
ﻭَﺍﻋْﻠَﻤُﻮْٓﺍ ﺍَﻧَّﻜُﻢْ ﺍِﻟَﻴْﻪِ ﺗُﺤْﺸَﺮُﻭْﻥَ
ważkurullāha fī ayyāmim ma'dụdāt, fa man
ta'ajjala fī yaumaini fa lā iṡma 'alaīh, wa man
ta`akhkhara fa lā iṡma 'alaihi limanittaqā,
wattaqullāha wa'lamū annakum ilaihi
tuḥsyarụn
And remember Allah on the appointed day.
Whoever hastens (leaves Mina) after two days,
then there is no sin for him. And whoever ends it,
there is no sin for him, (that is) for those who
guard (against evil). And keep your duty to Allah,
and know that He will gather you.
204
ﻭَﻣِﻦَ ﺍﻟﻨَّﺎﺱِ ﻣَﻦْ ﻳُّﻌْﺠِﺒُﻚَ ﻗَﻮْﻟُﻪٗ ﻓِﻰ ﺍﻟْﺤَﻴٰﻮﺓِ
ﺍﻟﺪُّﻧْﻴَﺎ ﻭَﻳُﺸْﻬِﺪُ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪَ ﻋَﻠٰﻰ ﻣَﺎ ﻓِﻲْ ﻗَﻠْﺒِﻪٖ ۙ ﻭَﻫُﻮَ
ﺍَﻟَﺪُّ ﺍﻟْﺨِﺼَﺎﻡِ
wa minan-nāsi may yu'jibuka qauluhụ fil-
ḥayātid-dun-yā wa yusy-hidullāha 'alā mā fī
qalbihī wa huwa aladdul-khiṣām
And among the people there is one whose talk
about the life of this world amazes you
(Muhammad), and he testifies to Allah about what
is in his heart, even though he is the strongest of
opponents.
205
ﻭَﺍِﺫَﺍ ﺗَﻮَﻟّٰﻰ ﺳَﻌٰﻰ ﻓِﻰ ﺍﻟْﺎَﺭْﺽِ ﻟِﻴُﻔْﺴِﺪَ ﻓِﻴْﻬَﺎ
ﻭَﻳُﻬْﻠِﻚَ ﺍﻟْﺤَﺮْﺙَ ﻭَﺍﻟﻨَّﺴْﻞَ ۗ ﻭَ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ ﻟَﺎ ﻳُﺤِﺐُّ
ﺍﻟْﻔَﺴَﺎﺩَ
wa iżā tawallā sa'ā fil-arḍi liyufsida fīhā wa
yuhlikal-ḥarṡa wan-nasl, wallāhu lā yuḥibbul-
fasād
And when he turns away (from you), he tries to do
mischief in the earth, and destroys crops and
livestock, while Allah does not like corruption.
206
ﻭَﺍِﺫَﺍ ﻗِﻴْﻞَ ﻟَﻪُ ﺍﺗَّﻖِ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪَ ﺍَﺧَﺬَﺗْﻪُ ﺍﻟْﻌِﺰَّﺓُ ﺑِﺎﻟْﺎِﺛْﻢِ
ﻓَﺤَﺴْﺒُﻪٗ ﺟَﻬَﻨَّﻢُ ۗ ﻭَﻟَﺒِﺌْﺲَ ﺍﻟْﻤِﻬَﺎﺩُ
wa iżā qīla lahuttaqillāha akhażat-hul-'izzatu
bil-iṡmi fa ḥasbuhụ jahannam, wa labi`sal-
mihād
And when it is said to him, "Fear Allah," his pride
rises to sin. For him is hell, and the worst abode.
207
ﻭَﻣِﻦَ ﺍﻟﻨَّﺎﺱِ ﻣَﻦْ ﻳَّﺸْﺮِﻱْ ﻧَﻔْﺴَﻪُ ﺍﺑْﺘِﻐَﺎۤﺀَ
ﻣَﺮْﺿَﺎﺕِ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪِ ۗﻭَﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ ﺭَﺀُﻭْﻑٌۢ ﺑِﺎﻟْﻌِﺒَﺎﺩِ
wa minan-nāsi may yasyrī nafsahubtigā`a
marḍātillāh, wallāhu ra`ụfum bil-'ibād
And among men there are those who sacrifice
themselves to seek the pleasure of God. And Allah
is Forbearing to His slaves.
208
ﻳٰٓﺎَﻳُّﻬَﺎ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﺍٰﻣَﻨُﻮﺍ ﺍﺩْﺧُﻠُﻮْﺍ ﻓِﻰ ﺍﻟﺴِّﻠْﻢِ
ﻛَﺎۤﻓَّﺔً ۖﻭَّﻟَﺎ ﺗَﺘَّﺒِﻌُﻮْﺍ ﺧُﻄُﻮٰﺕِ ﺍﻟﺸَّﻴْﻄٰﻦِۗ ﺍِﻧَّﻪٗ ﻟَﻜُﻢْ
ﻋَﺪُﻭٌّ ﻣُّﺒِﻴْﻦٌ
yā ayyuhallażīna āmanudkhulụ fis-silmi
kāffataw wa lā tattabi'ụ khuṭuwātisy-syaiṭān,
innahụ lakum 'aduwwum mubīn
O you who believe! Enter into Islam as a whole,
and do not follow the steps of the devil. Indeed, he
is a real enemy to you.
209
ﻓَﺎِﻥْ ﺯَﻟَﻠْﺘُﻢْ ﻣِّﻦْۢ ﺑَﻌْﺪِ ﻣَﺎ ﺟَﺎۤﺀَﺗْﻜُﻢُ ﺍﻟْﺒَﻴِّﻨٰﺖُ
ﻓَﺎﻋْﻠَﻤُﻮْٓﺍ ﺍَﻥَّ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪَ ﻋَﺰِﻳْﺰٌ ﺣَﻜِﻴْﻢٌ
fa in zalaltum mim ba'di mā jā`atkumul-
bayyinātu fa'lamū annallāha 'azīzun ḥakīm
But if you slip after the clear proofs have come to
you, know that Allah is Mighty, Wise.
210
ﻫَﻞْ ﻳَﻨْﻈُﺮُﻭْﻥَ ﺍِﻟَّﺎٓ ﺍَﻥْ ﻳَّﺄْﺗِﻴَﻬُﻢُ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ ﻓِﻲْ ﻇُﻠَﻞٍ
ﻣِّﻦَ ﺍﻟْﻐَﻤَﺎﻡِ ﻭَﺍﻟْﻤَﻠٰۤﻯِٕﻜَﺔُ ﻭَﻗُﻀِﻲَ ﺍﻟْﺎَﻣْﺮُ ۗ ﻭَﺍِﻟَﻰ
ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪِ ﺗُﺮْﺟَﻊُ ﺍﻟْﺎُﻣُﻮْﺭُ
hal yanẓurụna illā ay ya`tiyahumullāhu fī
ẓulalim minal-gamāmi wal-malā`ikatu wa
quḍiyal-amr, wa ilallāhi turja'ul-umụr
They wait for nothing but the coming of Allah with
the angels in the shadow of a cloud, while the
matter has been decided. And to Allah all things
are returned.
